Moto to hold Service Area Open Day
28 April 2008
When it opens for business later this summer, the service area will be the greenest in Britain and visitors to the open day will be able to see an exhibition detailing the technology that will cut power consumption and carbon emissions.
It will also demonstrate the measures Moto has undertaken to protect local wildlife and enhance and preserve ancient woodland, hedgerows and wild flower meadows.
Senior members of Moto staff will be on hand to talk to visitors about the work of Moto In The Community Trust, the company’s own charity which is actively forging links with many organizations in Wetherby, and about career prospects with the company.
The service area, at Junction 46 of the A1(M), will create 115 jobs.
Jeff Parfrey, who will be the Area General Manager of Moto Wetherby, said: “This will be the first opportunity we’ve had to show people at first hand what the service area will be like and what it will offer the community. We’re hoping it will generate a lot of interest.”
The open day takes place on Wednesday 14 May between 9.00am and 5.00pm but anyone interested in applying for a job can send an e-mail at any time to: careers.wetherby@moto-way.co.uk
