Watch the World Cup on the Motorway thanks to Moto
15 May 2006
Moto sites on all the major motorways will be screening every game, including the final on 9 July, on their giant plasma screens, which are normally used to broadcast news updates and traffic reports.
And customers calling at any Moto site have the chance to win two tickets to the final in a free prize draw. All they have to do is pick up an entry form at the till in the Fresh Express restaurant and answer a simple question.
The winner will get two of the most sought after tickets on the planet, plus travel and accommodation in Berlin.
Moto’s managing director Brian Lotts said: “The World Cup is the single most important competition in the game and literally millions of people around the world will be following every move. We don’t want our customers to miss out so we’re utilising the technology we already have in place to bring them all the games that are being broadcast in the UK.”
The sites screening the World Cup matches are: Cherwell Valley (M40), Chieveley (A34/M4), Donington Park (M1), Exeter (M5), Ferrybridge (A1/M62), Frankley north & south (M5), Hilton Park north & south (M6), Knutsford north & south (M6), Lancaster north (M6), Southwaite north & south (M6), Stafford (M6), Tamworth (M42), Trowell north & south (M1), Toddington north & south (M1), Reading east & west (M4) and Leigh Delamere east & west (M4).
