Moto has Britain's Best Service Areas says Holday Which?
07 March 2006
The magazine’s researchers visited 57 of the 83 service areas on UK motorways during the peak August holiday time in 2005 and had no hesitation in giving Moto the award for best overall chain.
“Their M&S Simply Food stores may be worth driving on for alone,” said the magazine.
And it went on: “Moto deserves particular congratulations for its child and dog-friendly facilities with organic baby food, nappies and bottles for babies and biscuits and water for dogs.”
Moto’s Stafford services on the M6 were singled out for particular praise. The report said: “The outdoor facilities are superb, with extensive lawns, a pond and information on flora and fauna. Inside, huge picture windows make the most of the view and ensure tables are bathed in light. We found the place spotless throughout with toilet facilities which were beyond reproach.”
Brian Lotts, Moto’s managing director, said: “Naturally we are delighted to have received this accolade from Holiday Which? It’s good to gain some recognition for all the effort and hard work our people put in to make sure our customers enjoy their visits.”
Last year, Moto was outright winner of the Loo of the Year Award and was voted the most parent-friendly service area chain in the Tommy’s Parent Friendly Awards.
