Marks & Spencer Opens New Simply Food Store At Moto’s Donington Park Service Area
17 June 2005
The new store has created over 20 new full and part-time jobs for the area and will give motorway users the opportunity to stop off en route to pick up quality food products. Customers will be able to choose from a wide range of ready meals, fresh produce, sandwiches, salads, snacks and fresh flowers.
The new Donington Park store is the eighth Marks & Spencer Simply Food stores to open at Moto’s motorway service areas. Moto and Marks & Spencer launched the first Simply Food motorway store at Toddington in August 2003 and have recently opened stores at Moto’s Cherwell Valley, Reading, Knutsford, Leigh Delamere and Stafford Service Areas.
Brian Lotts, Moto’s Managing Director, said: “We’re constantly looking at ways to increase the choice available to motorists who use motorway service areas. As well as increasing variety, the Marks & Spencer Simply Food offering is the perfect solution for busy commuters who need to top up their weekly shop on their way home.”
Paul Horwell, Simply Food Franchise Manager, said: “We are pleased to bring the successful Simply Food concept to Donington Park. Feedback from motorists has been excellent since the first Marks & Spencer Simply Food format was introduced to Toddington Service Area in 2003 and we are sure that this will be echoed at Donington Park.”
The new store will be open from 8am-10pm Sunday to Friday and 8am-8pm on Saturdays.
