BARKING UP THE RIGHT TREE – MOTO LAUNCH DOGGY DINING AREAS
22 January 2003
Motorway mutts will be queuing up to take a break at Moto service areas after the company launched dining areas for dogs at all its 47 sites.
The dog feeding stations are the first on the motorway network and are the latest milestone in Moto’s attempt to make things better for motorway users.
Managing director Tim Moss said: “It’s a small gesture but it’s an important one. Thousands and thousands of people travel with their pets every year but recognising their needs is something very few organisations have thought about.
“We trialled this idea at one of our busiest sites and it proved to be extremely popular so we’ve rolled it out at every one of our sites. I have to say that anyone travelling with their dog would be barking mad not to stop at a Moto service area from now on.”
The introduction of feeding stations, which also offer dog owners tips on travelling with animals, is the first in a series of pet related initiatives that Moto will be introducing this year.
